Test: Lingerie2010.10.02
I had a few clients recently who wanted lingerie on location. I didn’t have any in my book. I’ve shot a lot of studio lingerie but none on location. I know, I was surprised myself. Anyway, I hired a few hotel rooms in Brighton for the day and we put this together. models chloe and charlotte Written by Hugh O'Malley Fashion Photographer London

Fashion Test: Darkness2010.09.30
I shot this test recently with Liliana Winarska. During the shoot, my neighbours shouted at me for using a communal space. What a drag. Shots are nice though. Styling: Liliana Winarska Written by Hugh O'Malley Fashion Photographer London

Movement: Long Exposure2010.07.20
I took these at Liverpool street. Been interested in camera shake/blur and wanted to try it outside of the studio. Intrigued by the results and want to experiment a little more. 1/2s exposure, f9.0 @ 100iso Written by Hugh O'Malley Fashion Photographer London

Transition2009.12.12
A friend of mine recently had an exhibition. He’s a creative hair stylist goes by the name of Andrew Thomas Corbett and we collaborated recently to create a series of images. The show was on in the Resistance Gallery in Bethnal Green a few weeks ago but I’ve been too busy covering the Clothes Show in Birmingham for the last week to post about it. A little about the show here. The images we created are below. Written by Hugh O'Malley Fashion Photographer London

Nathan is a designer who was introduced to me via a friend. He had some rather conventional shots of his outfits and wanted something a little more funked up… Models Louis, Adrienne, Hannah from D1 Written by Hugh O'Malley Fashion Photographer London

Test Shoot for BBC3 Find Me the Face2008.01.20
Spent the day in Spring Studios shooting for Fever Media for a production called ‘Find Me the Face’ which will be aired on BBC3 shortly. The basic premise is this: two agency scouts Becky Southwick and Jody Furlong, have to find a new model for a particular brief. They scout the girls from the streets of various towns around the UK and then the best girl gets a contract with various agencies. They put the girls through 2 shoots to test them out and narrow the field down. This week I was shooting a casting for an editorial girl to get a contract with Premier Model Management. Basically ‘posh polaroids’ as everyone on the production team likes to call them. We had two very simple setups and we took simple shots to get a good clean shot for the agency to get an idea of how the girls photograph. I thought it would be relatively simple but it was actually quite stressful for a number of reasons:
Nonetheless, I think we got what we needed – check them out yourself… There were 5 girls in total but these are the two who were successful. Will be shooting again for them next week. Written by Hugh O'Malley Fashion Photographer London
